First off... can't do nothing about the camera.... so lets just get over that. I am wondering what crews are using to power a lighten (frezzi or ultra) on top. We had this statis arm thingy that had a cord built inside but the arm thing sucked balls (was a annoy with the tripod)... anyways..... any suggestions?

We have to feature a sing pack with an anton bauer change state case then run a cord from the ultralight to the belt case. Huge pain in the ass considering the only thing we need the AB for is the lighten. We use it to power the camera as come up just because it seems desire a huge expend carrying that battery around just to power a light. Another example of a poorly designed camera.
No not a poorly designed camera. Another example of being forced to use the wrong tool for the job just to save a few bucks. It was never designed to be a daily news gathering camera. It was a low cost HD camera designed for wedding/event and independent film makers cm
Frezzi makes a battery holder that fits under the camera and can be mounted on the tripod. You undergo to use NP batteries. On my Z1 I use a PAG lighten with HMI and Tungsten modules but act the NP in my pockets.
You can see more pictures of the Frezzi attach here
I was going to have in mind your product Scott but a quick explore search turned up some posts by folks who were concerned about the build quality of the battery. Namely the plastic attach that could fail and undergo a camera fall to the fasten. From your link...
This innovative battery provides a strong and secure structural foundation for the camera and can be adapted to any camera tripod or support through the standard camera support mounting on the furnish of the battery.
I undergo a prosumer camera to play around with and I bought an Anton Bauer Ultralight2 and a IDX battery with a plate which has a 4 pin out. I run a cord to the light and keep the battery and plate in a belt case. transport than a belt and it provides more than enough power for a 50 watt gun.
I was going to have in mind your product Scott but a quick Google examine turned up some posts by folks who were concerned about the build quality of the battery. Namely the plastic attach that could fail and undergo a camera go to the ground. Some owners of the product aren't so convinced. They would desire to see the camera mount area with more structural re-enforcement.
My displace bought us the elipz batteries and lights when they got us HVX200's. It seems to alter alot desire its not totally latched in alter... Its funny you brought that up latin lens. I was about to PM you and ask you how you rigged up your UL2 that I saw you had on your camera as I was hoping to try and ghetto rig one myself.. ohs well... I desire my my UL2 the elightz just doesn't throw enough light and is too spot lightish...
Litepanels are great run on DV batteries of all types. They're super pricey. Be warned. However. NO CABLES. Super awesome. I hate battery cables.
There is a new option - just released - from Bebob. An LED option. (I have the original Bebob and it's a good little unit). This LED option is designed specifically for smaller cameras and they have an option to change integrity the power from the cameras battery.. thus you can avoid an external battery pack.16x9inc com - is selling the lighten. On their website it is called Bebob Lux LED DV.
In response to Canonman's mention about a poor locking mount of the Elipz battery to the camera:A/B has been working to on this perception/issue. Some users undergo called in about "let go" connections between the camera and the top of thebattery we have been addressing this with additional coat "shims" (larger and fuller than the circular ones shown in the photos) so the mount has more ascend area and instructions that users displace the quick release slide on the battery all the way back to get a firmer lock. Those that have this problem should call A/B support at 800.541.1667 and we ordain bring home the bacon though a solution with them. Scott Keyworth
